The Man With Part Of The Plan

Hey guys,

My name is Jordan and I love pizza... also I'm the head of business development here at Keap. I handle PR, advertising, sales and planning ice cream parties. My journey with Keap began after Justus secured the first sample of professionally manufactured shorts. They were not pretty, but I could finally grasp the idea and believed in what the product could become. Now after countless samples and changes, I am extremely stoked about the product we have today.

The last 6 months have been an incredible experience and I couldn't be more excited for where this company is headed. Our Kickstarter launch on March 10th will just be the beginning of what I hope is a long and rewarding journey. Thank you for all your love and continued support!

Peace and love,

The Man With The Plan

For all of you who don't know me, My name is Justus and I'm the ORIGINAL founder for Keap. I'm now in charge of product design, product development and overseeing the manufacturing process. As a web developer by trade, I also make sure our website doesn't explode. Working at a start up allows for me to wear multiple hats, something I love.

Keap all started for me after about the 1000th time of my phone falling out of my Nike dri-fit shorts. I said to myself, there has to be a better option out there. After tirelessly searching stores for shorts that would keep my stuff in, I eventually gave up looking and decided to make my own. I bought a sewing machine and began teaching myself to sew. Countless prototypes later, I had something that actually resembled a real pair of shorts and a functional pocket. I continued to refine the shorts and eventually began the process of manufacturing them. I have come a long way from where I started and am extremely proud of the product we have today.

Thanks for all your support!

Peace and Love,

Behind The Scenes

Hey Guys,

As of today we are officially 19 days out from launch! We are super excited and have been working hard everyday to make this a success. Your support so far has blown us away. If you keep doing what you've been doing, we will definitely fly past our goal.

Over the last week we have been busy finishing up our Kickstarter video. As you can see in the picture above we have been very resourceful (turning a trash can into a table) in order to keep our costs down and make the shorts extremely affordable for you. It's been a challenge trying to create a great video that properly showcases our shorts, but we are happy with what we've managed to create.

We are also excited to say that we have been killing it over at the Valley River Center with our new mall kiosk. If you are in the area and want get more details about the shorts, try them on, or just hang out with us, feel free to drop by anytime. We typically man the kiosk during the evenings on weekdays and for most of the day on the weekends. If you drop by and we aren't there, please throw your name in the contest box and WIN a free pair of shorts!

Stay tuned, more great stuff to come!

Much love,

Why Launch A Kickstarter

Hey guys and gals,

We would like to thank all of you for the support we've received since announcing our launch date a few days ago, the outpouring of love and encouragement has been greatly appreciated.

We have had a lot of people asking us why launch a Kickstarter lately, and that is a fantastic question. For those who don't know what Kickstarter is, it's a website where creative people have an opportunity to pitch their product to the world and gauge interest on their idea. Creators set a total dollar goal and then have a variety of different award levels that anyone can purchase. For us, the award levels will all be Keap shorts. If a creator sells enough awards to equal their total dollar goal, the project gets funded. If the creator comes up short by even a dollar, the money is refunded to everyone and the creators get nothing. So it's VERY important that we reach our full goal during our campaign.

Our campaign will be launching on March 10th and will tentatively last 31 days. We have set our goal at $5,000. This may seem like a high number, but in order to reach the minimum order from our manufacturer we have to order about 400 pairs of shorts.

Kickstarter is an opportunity for us to validate our idea as the solution to the problem. We know you hate stuff falling out of your shorts as much as we do, but we need your support to show us that you believe in the solution we have created.
We are hoping to get our campaign off to a thunderous start, so please remember to show your support by joining our Thunderclap!

Much love,

Keap on Keapin' On

One of the most important parts of launching a Kickstarter is having a successful first day of funding. So we're asking people to subscribe to our email list, so we can remind everybody to grab a pair when we launch! We want to reward all of our early birds with a free pair of our Keap Athletic Socks.

So if you've already subscribed, awesome! If you think you can help spread the word about our Keap Athletic Shorts - email us at, we'd love to hear from you.
